コパ・アメリカでブラジル代表の優勝に貢献したジェズス。決勝戦では前半ロスタイムに勝ち越しゴールを決めた。しかし、70分にこの試合2枚目のイエローカードを提示され退場していた。
退場後、ジェズスは号泣している姿が映し出され話題になった。

さらにジェズスは退場する際にVARブースを突き飛ばし、危うく倒れそうに…。幸いにもスタッフが反応し、事なきを得ていた。
