West Ham bosses are giving their gaffer David Moyes every opportunity he needs to sort things out at the club which in all fairness is the right and decent thing to do.
But if after three more games he has failed to correct the problems then it would only be fair that his day will be done as all chances would already have been given by then – that’s the view of one particular journalist.
Top iNews journalist Daniel Storey alleges he has been told Moyes will continue at the club despite the 2-0 defeat to Brentford but that his future is “likely to be sorted out soon” and that unless something major happens to reverse their situation, he is likely to be sacked at the London Stadium although not immediately.
The club was told several weeks ago that results and performances would of course need to improve but Storey’s report of course goes conceivably several stages further.
“We are told that this is not yet the end of the David Moyes era Pt II at West Ham. Either way, it’s likely to be sorted out soon,” Storey wrote for Inews.
With three away games facing them at Leeds, Brentford and, Wolves. Unless something massively positive happens – meaning West Ham actually looking capable of creating chances from open play – the axe will then descend on Moyes.
“West Ham have now lost five successive league matches for the first time since April 2017, a run that ultimately ended his him being appointed for the first time.”
The Irons have now won just four Premier League games in 2022 and lost 11.
