Liverpool monitoring Jadon Sancho after he left Man Utd with egg on face

England international and Borussia Dortmund hotrod Jadon Sancho came close to joining the Red Devils last summer before Manchester United were priced out of a deal by his Bundesliga owners.

The German club had made it crystal clear they wanted nothing less than a sensible bid from Man United and set a deadline, which the Red Devils missed. Dortmund swiftly slammed the door on the Sancho sale, extending the Englishman’s contract to further endorse their stance.

It’s understood that United are expected to go back in for Sancho at the end of the season.

However they’re not the only ones in hot pursuit of the winger as Liverpool are said to be keenly monitoring Jadon Sancho developments as they look to beat the Red Devils to the transfer in the summer window.

According to the Que Golazo podcast, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are keeping a hawk’s eye vigil on Sancho and are considering making a £110million swoop when the time is due.

German publication Kicker claimed that Sancho is quite enamored with the idea of moving to Liverpool as he feels he’s more likely to win silverware on Merseyside, leaving Man United – drooling unashamedly with relish as they wait upon the striker – with egg on their face.

It’s anyone’s guess whether Sancho will sign for United or Liverpool or whether he’ll return to the Premier League at all, for that matter. But it does appear certain he’ll leave Dortmund.

This is yet another transfer story that is set to contain many twists and turns.
