Liverpool could possibly have just been handed an unexpected transfer boost regarding Kylian Mbappé as reports have emerged suggesting the PSG star is not at all pleased with Real Madrid’s advances in their current attempts to sign him.
The latest reports suggest he is considering a free transfer to the Premier League in the summer as, according to The Times, the Paris Saint-Germain superstar has been left ‘unimpressed’ by Real Madrid’s attempts to push him into signing a pre-contract, which has prompted him to explore a switch to England. The Madridistas are claimed to have given the French star a deadline of January 15 to agree terms ahead of a move in the summer, but he has found the pressure objectionable.
Real Madrid had been in the hotseat to land the 25-year-old’s signature, as a departure from PSG is now looking inevitable with his contract expiring at the end of the season. However Mbappé is said to have snubbed Real’s proposal, and is now exploring a potential move to the Premier League instead.
The Reds have regularly been linked with the French international over the years as the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has long admitted being ardent fan of the French star, with Le Parisien reporting the Reds as being a serious option last week. Mbappé has previously revealed that he has held talks with the club in the past.
“We talked a little bit, but not too much. We talked a little bit,” he told the Telegraph in 2022. “I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favorite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool. I don’t know why, you will have to ask her. It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club.”
