La Liga leaders Barcelona wanted to come away with another win against bottom-placed Espanyol but were held 2-2 draw as China striker Wu Lei came off the bench to score a late equaliser in 88th minute.
Performance from the defending champions were questionable at times as they conceded in 23rd minute after David Lopez scored a header and they have to wait until 50th minute to score an equaliser from Luis Suarez.
Barcelona however, took a lead in 59th minute through Arturo Vidal.
But Ernesto Valverde’s side had to play the final 15 minutes with 10 men after Frenkie de Jong was sent off for a second yellow card.
Wu Lei who only scored once in LaLiga this season, came off the bench to score his second goal with a powerful finish.
