Cristiano Ronaldo brace during Juventus 3-1 win over Udinese seal another goalscoring record.
The 34-year-old has five goals in his last four games with 11 in 19 appearances, becoming the only player in Europe’s top five leagues to hit double figures in all competitions in the last 15 seasons.
Despite that, Ronaldo was unfazed by his brilliant individual record.
“The most important thing was to win,” Ronaldo told Sky Sport Italia.
“This is how we should play, with confidence. Individual performances aren’t what matters, but the collective effort.”
The win is quite significant, as league rivals Inter drew 1-1 in the last minute as Dusan Vlahovic of Fiorentina found the equaliser.
Meanwhile Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon also breaking his own record as he matched Alessandro Del Piero’s club record of 478 Serie A appearances.
