Bruno Fernandes: Man United make improved offer to counter Barcelona interest

Manchester United have yet to give up on the pursuit of Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes as they make another offer to keep Barcelona out of contention, Sky Sports reports.

Report said that United increased their offer twice in the past 24 hours, the second for a deal which could be worth 80m euros.

Thus after weeks of negotiations, United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has reached an agreement with Sporting’s director Hugo Viana which could see an initial fee of 55m euros plus add-ons for Fernandes, with the deal eventually rising to 80m euros.

Sporting CP officials in Lisbon are waiting for all relevant documentation to arrive, be checked and then signed off to trigger the agreement for Fernandes to move to Old Trafford.

Man United have less than 72 hours to finalized the deal.

Barcelona are becoming more interested to sign Fernandes after the signing of Rodrigo Moreno failed to materialize despite agreeing a deal and undergoing medical at Nou Camp.
