Liverpool 2-0 victory over Sheffield United has break an incredible record as The Reds have gone 37 league games without losing a single game.
The last time Liverpool beaten were against Manchester City on Jan 3rd last year, but since then Liverpool remain unbeaten.
City won by a single point last season, but this season Liverpool’s unbeaten run has put them 13 points clear at the top of the table, leaving behind Leicester and 14 points off from defending champion Man City.
Sheffield had a good run against the likes of Arenal, Tottenham and Manchester United and only defeated to Liverpool by a single goal last September.
This time, however, Liverpool are making sure they are getting ahead as Mohamed Salah scored as early as 4th minute of the game.
They even registered 75 per cent of the posession during the game, the second-highest posession so far this season.
Sadio Mane rounded off with a sublime finish in 64th minute.
So far, Jurgen Klopp side have won 32 of 37 games, averaging 2.7 points per game and scored 89 goals, while recording their 16th clean sheet throughout the entire unbeaten run.
There are only 12 more games left for Liverpool to match Arsenal Invincibles run 0f 49-game unbeaten run during 2003 and 2004 season, and only three more games to match Chelsea run of 40 games undefeated under Jose Mourinho during 2004 and 2005 season.
It will still be a difficult task however, to reach such run since Liverpool will be playing against Tottenham, Manchester United, Everton and Manchester City at Etihad.
