Who would have thought Barcelona and Real Madrid have found the new Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo rivalry through Ansu Fati and Rodrygo.
It’s even incredible that Fati is only 17 and Rodrygo is 18, but they have both playing in Champions League, scoring for fun.
After Barcelona beat Inter the other day, one Italian newspaper wrote “The new Messi punishes Inter”. Fati single-handedly demoted Inter straight to Europa League.
Fati’s record is also staggering. He became the youngest player to score a Champions League goal at just 17, his third goal of the season.
The same goes with Rodrygo, who has bigger pressure after arriving from Santos for 45 million euros but that doesn’t seem to bother him at all.
His first hat-trick in Champions League during a victorious 6-0 win over Galatasaray said it all.
It might still be too early to say both will be the Ronaldo of Real Madrid and Messi of Barcelona, but we are going to witness the next big rivalry in football world.
