Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho’s career remains in serious question with the Manchester club following his serious fallout with Erik ten Hag, and while a January move away from Old Trafford continues to be mooted, an industry observer and former Bundesliga star says he won’t be heading back to Germany to join up with Bayern Munich.
Sancho has been branded a “trouble-maker” and told he would never be wanted by the Bundesliga giants, according to former Bayern Munich star, Mario Basler. The United winger hasn’t featured even once for the Red Devils since his fractious fall-out with United boss, Erik ten Hag. Sancho had joined United from Borussia Dortmund for £73million in 2021 after making a huge impression in Germany but was subsequently exiled by Ten Hag since a scandalous public falling out between the two in September on social media.
The former Borussia Dortmund winger was since banished from first-team training and was even denied access to all first-team areas of the club’s Carrington training ground after refusing to apologise. Sancho’s future at the club is now seriouslu jeopardized, speculation further mounting that a January move could be in the offing for the 23-year-old, as United are plotting to fund a move for RB Leipzig’s Lois Openda. However former Bayern star Mario Basler is certain Sancho won’t make it to the German juggernauts.
“Bayern are very strict and, when they sign a player, his personality will have to fit in with the club,” declared Basler. “Sancho may be a good footballer but Bayern would not sign him because he’s not what they look for in a person.
“Sancho was already a troublemaker in Dortmund. His attitude is a problem and he has to change it.”
