Norwegian wunderkind Erling Braut Haaland is etching his name in the record books on an almost weekly basis.
The sizzling Borussia Dortmund striker became the fastest player to score 20 Champions League goals following his scintillating brace against Sevilla in Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 second leg. And this came just days after scoring his 100th career goal aged 20 years and 228 days.
Reaching the milestone in only 14 games, the Norwegian has blitzed the previous best, held by Harry Kane, by 10 games.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the all-time top scorer in the Champions League, required 56 appearances to amass 20 goals.
Haaland is the top scorer in this season’s competition with 10 goals in six games. His double in the 2-2 draw against Sevilla also made him the highest scoring Norwegian in European Cup history, surpassing former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
