News has it that Chelsea’s new manager Thomas Tuchel will reportedly be handed a mammoth transfer budget to work with this summer by owner Roman Abramovich.
The Blues made further headway under Tuchel in their Champions League win away over Atletico Madrid as the German tactician continued with his strong start at Stamford Bridge after recently replacing Frank Lampard.
And now it appears Tuchel could be gifted massive funds to further strengthen his side in the summer, with TMW claiming Abramovich could place at his disposal as much as €300million to spend in the transfer window, regardless of whether or not the club qualifies for the Champions League.
TMW has listed Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland as one potential top target, a move that would surely go down well with Chelsea supporters.
It also seems clear the west London giants would benefit from strengthening in the centre-back position, while there could also be some upgrades on somewhat inconsistent performers like Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic in central midfield.
