Aston Villa’s celebrity fan list grows as WWE star sends Jack Grealish message

Latest Aston Villa news from BirminghamLive heralds a revelation by WWE superstar Dolph Ziggler that he is a fan of the club and its captain, Jack Grealish, in particular.

World-famous movie star Tom Hanks and Prince William, the second in line to the Commonwealth monarchy, are amongst the club’s loyal fans, besides even former Prime Minister David Cameron and cricket star Chris Woakes professing their support for Villa.

The impressive list of celebrity fans also includes none other than former Black Sabbath musicians Geezer Butler and Ozzy Osbourne, with both hailing from Aston.

And now they have been joined by wrestling superstar Dolph Ziggler as the WWE have been asking wrestlers to pick their favourite Premier League teams as the title race picks up steam and Dolph Ziggler, a two-time World Heavyweight Championship winner, has declared his love for Villa and captain Jack Grealish.

Ziggler, whose real name is Nicholas Nemeth, took to social media to reveal his allegiance to Dean Smith’s side.

“Obviously Aston Villa are my new favourite team purely based on Jack Grealish’s brilliant great hair,” Ziggler wrote on Twitter. “I think we both deserve the title.”

Although Villa are obviously not in the running for the Premier League title this season, Ziggler’s new team are doing well in their second campaign back in the top flight in the WWE.

It comes with the turf that being in England’s top tier brings along with it global exposure such as this, with the WWE getting onboard with a ‘title’ race promotion.
