Barcelona are enjoying a brand new start off the starting blocks as they started the new season with a comfortable thrashing of a shabby Villarreal under new manager Ronald Koeman.
Barcelona handed Villarreal a 4-0 hammering in Sunday’s La Liga clash with phenomenal 17-year-old striker Ansu Fati evidently on fire as he executed a brilliant brace at Camp Nou.
In addition Fati’s two goals, Lionel Messi’s penalty and Pau Torres’ own goal sealed a victory for Barcelona in the first game of 2020-2021 La Liga season.
Messi made his first appearance after requesting to leave Barcelona in the summer transfer window as he also achieved to score in 17 consecutive La Liga seasons.
Although not having scored more in the match, Messi was nonetheless brilliant as he took 7 shots at goal, 4 among which were on target.
Barcelona won their first La Liga game this season while Villarreal collected four points in three games.
