A leading Spanish media outlet has claimed that Gareth Bale could be sidelined by injury for at least a month as the Wales star closes in on a loan return to Spurs seven years after leaving to join Real Madrid, it has been reported.
The Wales star flew to England on Friday before travelling to the Spurs training ground.
Spanish media outlet Marca claims Bale arrived carrying an injury, which could keep him out of action for “another four weeks at least”.
The report adds that the injury will not stop the transfer from going through although the ramifications of this reported injury would impact the Wales national side if true as Wales have three games coming up in the next month.
They face England in a friendly at Wembley on October 8, before a UEFA Nations League double header away to Republic of Ireland (October 11) and Bulgaria (October 14).
