Thiago explains how Bayern recovers from Eintracht Frankfurt humiliation

Bayern Munich have been facing one of the toughest season in Bundesliga this season, especially after losing 5-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt in December. Yet, they managed to recover, and return to the top of the table.

Thiago, who is one of the most important player for Bayern this season, playing 32 games in all competition and 22 appearances in Bundesliga, explained how his team slowly recovered from the humiliation.

“When you stop in December, you have time to look back with a lot of perspective at the things you did wrong, but also the things you did good.

“So, I think we had that time to prepare ourselves for the start of the league, refresh ourselves and start from zero. I think that was the point.

“We started from zero with no regrets from before. I think it was awesome.”

Despite being one of the successful Barcelona product, Thiago have stayed loyal with Bayern for the past 7 years and now he even has his own favourite German word.

” Tor (means goal) maybe….. It’s very exciting because it’s a small word but powerful and we hear it a lot at the Allianz, so it’s a nice one.”

Speaking about goal, Thiago thought his goal against Mainz 05 this season is one of the most beautiful goal in his career.

“It was a really nice one – I think one of the most beautiful ones I scored in my life, but in the moment when you’re playing, you’re so focussed, so into it that you just try to do the things that in the moment, in less than one second, you think you have to do.”

Thiago have won six Bundesliga titles with Bayern so far and he is currently discussing to extend his contract with the Bavarian club.

Bundesliga clubs as well as Bayern first-team returned to training this week, as the league could resumes early next month.
