Former Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge has left Turkish club Trabzonspor abruptly, despite having a three-year contract.
The club said his contract had been terminated by mutual consent.
The England international won the Champions League with Liverpool last season before being released.
The 30-year-old had played 16 times this season and scored seven goals in all competition.
Rumour has it that he decided to leave in order to join a new team and since his sudden departure, dozen of clubs are interested to sign him.
Which is slightly bizarre, why would he terminate his contract when can just finish the season, then move to other team? Extremely bizarre.
