Kylian Mbappe could end up in Premier League as Liverpool rivals plan ‘player-plus-cash’ deal

Liverpool are understandably anticipating a busy end to the summer transfer window as they prepare for the departures of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.

Yet while are expected to add to their squad before the end of the transfer window, their Premier League rivals are also preoccupied with their own transfer activities in preparation for the new campaign which kicks off shortly.

To date, while the Reds have agreed a £12million deal with Al-Ettifaq for Henderson while Fabinho’s £40m departure to Al-Ittihad has yet to be completed as it has hit a stumbling block, rival Premier League clubs have also been anxiously looking into beefing up their squads ahead of the next campaign.

With this scenario in place, PSG talisman Kylian Mbappe’s future has become a major talking point in recent weeks, especially with him looking increasingly likely to leave Pard des Princes, with long-time favorites Real Madrid still hovering in the wings to sign the 2018 World Cup winner. To this end, Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have already made a most lucrative contract offer to recruit the 24-year-old.

However, according to The Independent, the Parisien club is anticipating player-plus-cash offers from European clubs as Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs are also listed as interested parties. Obviously the Premier League trio are unable to match the £259m bid made by Al-Hilal, but this could be offset by offering players attached to the deal to reduce the price substantially.

Interestingly Mbabbe is not the only player Premier League clubs are jostling for as Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus is also hot in the crosshairs of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United as the Ghanaian attacking midfielder made a strong impression against Liverpool in last season’s Champions League group stage and quickly found an admirer in Everton prior to the commencement of last season.

Chelsea are currently leading the race presently for the player as the news is out that Mauricio Pochettino’s side feel they can ‘price Arsenal out’ with an offer which could cost up to £40m to get the deal over the line.

United are also named as a strong potential to enter the race for the 22-year-old in the event of them being priced out of a move for Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund, who has a price tag of £86m. The Red Devils would be most unwilling to pay this figure and could opt for Kudus as an alternative transfer option, as reported by the Times.
