PSG turn attention to Haaland in new plot as Mbappe nears Real Madrid move

At one point earlier this month, it had appeared as if French juggernauts Paris Saint-Germain had happily and neatly concluded their transactions in the ongoing summer transfer window after having sealed some of the best deals ever. However, in view of some of the latest developments, it looks like there could be some new shenanigans in the immediate pipeline before the window closes in a few days time.

As some recent reports have eagerly noted, Los Blancos have now opened up serious discussions with PSG for the possible permanent transfer signing of Kylian Mbappe. After having had their first offer rebuffed, the La Liga side has now submitted a €160 million offer plus €10 million in bonuses for the forward to show their sincerity and earnestness.

As it looks like PSG may well be parting ways with Mbappe pretty soon, the club is now reportedly looking for a possible replacement for the forward.

L’Equippe notes that PSG are allegedly considering Borussia Dortmund’s eclectic striker Erling Haaland as a transfer target for the final week of the on-going summer transfer window. The Dortmund star has been openly linked with multiple clubs over the past months, with Real Madrid being only but one in the long queue.

PSG will have a multitude of options on what to do with an estimated €170 million should the club finally be serious on selling Mbappe.

However, regardless of the final developments in the next few days, new PSG frontman Lionel Messi and his former Barca strike partner Neymar will be called upon to lead the team’s attack over this season.
