Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to offer Kylian Mbappe a humongous monster of a contract – although that might still not be enough to fend off Real Madrid’s advances, according to Marca.
Understandably it’s prudent to take Marca with the proverbial pinch of salt when it comes to things Los Blancos as they are essentially a Madrid-based newspaper dedicated to providing Spanish football coverage, and could/would tend to be favourable towards the La Liga club.
However, in this instance, the information they’ve published seems highly credible, and which indicates Kylian Mbappe could end up becoming a Real Madrid player next summer.
The report further claims that PSG are prepared to do everything in their power to keep Mbappe around, including breaking the bank to offer him the same wage packet as Neymar and keep the duo together.
This, however, may still not be sufficient, with Marca noting that Mbappe is unconvinced he can achieve his career ambitions at the Parc des Princes.
As a result, he could seriously pursue a move to Real Madrid considering that, with his contract expiring next summer, that would not be difficult for the World Cup winner.
There’s only so much cash PSG can offer an extremely talented player with Mbappe’s motivations and ambitions, and ultimately it looks as though this will not be a money-motivated decision for him.
