Tottenham ‘hold positive talks with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and now have second meeting planned’

Tottenham have reportedly begun talks with Serie A title-winning manager Antonio Conte over their vacant managerial position with a second meeting already planned.

The quintessential Italian has done an amazing job since taking charge of Inter Milan two years ago, securing the club their first Serie A title in 11 years at the weekend, dismissing the likes of colossal nine-time cup-holder Juventus.

The Nerazzurri are 13 points clear after Saturday’s win at Crotone with four games to go, ending a run of nine Juve triumphs.

Without doubt, Conte’s performance in Italy caught the attention of Spurs boss Daniel Levy, who currently has Ryan Mason in charge on an interim basis following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim Tottenham have already spoken with the Italian supremo who is also not ruling out the possibility of a move to north London although saying that his commitment is with Inter at this moment in time.

Conte will be no stranger to fans in the Premier League, having spent two successful seasons with Chelsea between 2016 and 2018, winning a Premier League in his first season and an FA Cup in his second before being dismissed by the demanding Blues owner, Roman Abramovich.
