[VIDEO] Juventus beat Inter…but not coronavirus

Its no longer about Juventus beating Inter, they also played in a biggest game in an empty stadium despite the growing concern over coronavirus.

At the moment, some 366 people in Italy have died of coronavirus, with 7,375 infected with up to 16 million people in Lombardy – the region where Milan is – and 14 provinces need special permission to travel under new quarantine rules.

Television viewers could hear the ball being kicked and the shouts of players and coaches during the game.

Media, support staff, security, ground staff and club senior executives were allowed to enter the Allianz Stadium subject to temperature checks, but no fans or family members of the players.

Cristiano Ronaldo even pretended to high-five where fans would have been standing on the way into the stadium as he failed to score for the first time in Serie A since November.

Aaron Ramsey and Paulo Dybala scored the goals to beat Inter who have their goalkeeper Daniele Padelli sent off from the bench late in the game.

Inter’s title challenge also likely to be over as they now sit 9 points behind Juventus.
