Sergio Ramos to leave Real Madrid next season

One of the leading Spanish media, Don Balon made a shocking claim that Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos will leave in the summer.

The latest report said Ramos may have played his last El Clasico after beating Barcelona 2-0.

It is said that the 33-year old centre-back will not extend his contract with Real Madrid to June 2021, which means next season would have been his final year at Santiago Bernabeu.

But the Spanish news agency further adds that Ramos will not wait to become a free agent. Instead, he will be looking to transfer before his contract ends.

If it materialize, it will mark the end of Ramos illustrious career with Los Blancos.

He began his career with Sevilla in 2003, before joining Real Madrid in 2005 for a transfer fee of €27million and since then, he developed to become one of the world best defender today.

Ramos has made 639 appearances for Real, winning four Champions Leagues, four La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, four Spanish Super Cups, four FIFA Club World Cups and three UEFA Super Cups.

He has also won the Under-19 UEFA Euro Cup once, two UEFA Euro Cups, and the 2010 FIFA World Cup with the Spanish national team.
