Diagnosed with heart condition, Daley Blind undergone successful surgery

Netherlands international Daley Blind who has been diagnosed with inflammation of the heart muscle, has undergone a successful operation, his club Ajax reports.

The former Manchester United defender was reportedly suffering from dizziness but continue to play during Ajax’s Champions League defeat against Valencia early this month.

Even though Blind completed the game, he has not played since and was last week ruled out of from remaining matches in 2019.

Due to the condition, Blind has been fitted with a subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator and will miss the club’s January training camp in Qatar, and will continue his recovery in Amsterdam.

Blind joined Man United in 2014 and rejoined Ajax in 2018, helping them to reach Champions League semi-final before losing to Tottenham Hotspur.
