Paul Pogba’s new job hint after making Old Trafford return decision

A free agent after leaving Juventus, Paul Pogba has since been pictured filming with a YouTube sensation as he starts preparing for his return to football in a different capacity.

The former Manchester United midfielder has hinted that he could be set for life as an influencer after producing a video with American YouTuber and online streamer iShowSpeed.

The 31-year-old is now clubless after Juventus terminated his contract last week and has not played a competitive minute of first-team football since August 2023 after failing a doping test. He was subsequently handed a four-year ban which looked like it would end his professional playing career.

However, the ban has since been reduced to 18 months following an appeal, which means Pogba is free to resume training in January resume competition action in March.

Despite there being talk over Pogba re-joining United for a third time, the Frenchman is not expected to consider a return to Old Trafford, according to The Mirror. He is currently training in Miami and is said to be looking to join a club in Europe’s top five leagues, with Arsenal among the others mentioned as potential destinations.

With his future in football still uncertain, Pogba has hinted at a new job as an influencer as the former Juve star has been filming with 19-year-old social media sensation Speed.

In a video on his Instagram – which boasts 62.3million followers – Pogba was seen playing football with the American and producing a couple of brutal pieces of skill on him. Starting with the Speak-No-Evil Monkey emoji, Pogba said in a caption: “Close the door bro! @ishowspeed, followed by the laughing face emoji.

Upon his departure from Juventus, Pogba said in a heartfelt statement: “There are times when things don’t go the way we want, but one thing is certain: the bond I have with you, dear fans, will remain unforgettable.”

He expressed his gratitude towards the supporters, adding: “You have given me so much, more than I can express in words, and I will always carry with me all the affection you have given me. You will always be in my heart. Good luck @juventus.”

Pogba, meanwhile, has vowed to rediscover his top form after serving a doping ban, claiming he’s now more driven than ever. “I’m still the same player but with a different hunger,” he said. “I am more motivated. I am more hungry.”
