Manchester United fans loved what Paul Pogba did to Bruno Fernandes at full-time

Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes were absolutely outstanding as Man United classily sauntered to a 5-1 win over a totally disenfranchised Leeds selection on Saturday.

The atmosphere in Old Trafford was sizzling electric as Manchester United convincingly hammered Leeds 5-1 on Saturday afternoon to bring the cheers back onto the faces of the Old Trafford hardcore fans for a massive, long-awaited post-pandemic treat.

The full capacity crowd were also treated to the unveiling of new signings Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, which raised the decibels in the stadium to yet another level, before they were then treated to a command performance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s magnificent boys stylishly crafting five absolute stunners past historic rivals Leeds in effortless fashion.

Mason Greenwood and Fred found the back of the net while talisman Bruno Fernandes donned his wizard’s cape and scored a delightful hat-trick in that clash. Paul Pogba, not to be outdone, contributed four assists as the Frenchman continued to impress with his rich vein of form after his excellent displays at the recent Euro 2020.

After the game, the unbridled ecstasy spilled onto the terraces for supporters who had been waiting impatiently to make their full return to Old Trafford and the iconic Stretford End witnessed a special moment between the game’s stand-out performers.

Despite the wet prank from Pogba, Fernandes openly lavished praise on his teammate in the BT interview.

“People discuss the quality of Paul, but his quality is not a discussion,” Fernandes said.

“We know what he can do and today he showed it. He’s very important for us and we know we can expect these kinds of games and performances from Paul.”
