Newcastle latest: Deposit Paid And Relevant Paperwork Signed

The latest report is out that Mike Ashley’s tenure as Newcastle United owner could officially end as early as this week which would mean that the Premier League owners’ and directors’ tests for the new owners would have taken around two weeks to be completed.

However, other reports are saying that it could take until the end of April or beyond before every detail is perfectly in place. However, it is actually looking most optimistic for the bulk of the bulk of Newcastle fans who have been vociferously clamouring for incumbent owner Mike Ashley to leave the club for good.

The Mail is claiming that ‘cash has changed hands’ as the Saudi-backed consortium has already paid a deposit to rescue Newcastle United from the clutches of Ashley.

Better yet, the Mail is reporting that all relevant paperwork has been signed, though they still expect the process to take another three to four weeks.

Now it is just a waiting game for all parties involved.
