Manchester United are trying to fend off interest from Inter Milan by offering a one-year contract extension, but Ashley Young has decided to turned down offer.
The 34-year-old reportedly decline the offer due to a lack of playing time. He only played 10 times in the Premier League and 14 in all competition.
Young’s current contract expires this summer and is keen to join Inter Milan as early as January.
Antonio Conte is a big fan of Young, and wanted to sign him when he was in charge of Chelsea in 2017.
Inter is willing to offer a two-year contract.
Despite that, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen for Young to stay, who remain a key leader in the United dressing room and can play in multiple positions.
It all depends on United whether they are willing to let Young leave in January, but they might need to sign a new left-back a little too soon than they wanted to in the summer.
