Zlatan Ibrahimovic is delighted to score his first goal since rejoining AC Milan as he helped the sleeping giant beat Cagliari 2-0 in Serie A.
While they were in the deadlock in the first half, Milan lead the game one minute into the second half through Rafael Leao before Ibrahimovic scored in the 64th minute.
It was Milan’s first win since early December and they move to within four points of sixth-placed Cagliari who occupy the Europa League spot.
“I’ll celebrate like a God at San Siro, not here,” Ibrahimovic said to BBC.
“The important thing is that I feel good. I missed a few balls at the beginning of the game, but I need to play games to get back in shape.”
Ibrahimovic is grateful with manager Stefano Pioli who believed he can play in the starting eleven.
“I feel good, the coach just wanted to think about my age and see if I needed a rest, but there’s no problem” added Ibrahimovic.
“My brain is always the same and the body has to follow.”
