It would require a pay-off up to £4million should Everton decide they want to sack Sean Dyche amid the growing pressure, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper alleges that there’s a clause in the Toffees manager’s contract stipulating he is entitled to be paid up until the end of the season should they pull the trigger on him at this juncture.
It also added that the Englishman has found himself some stauch admirers in the proposed new owners, 777 Partners, and that there is no clarity on whether there is anyone at Goodison Park who has the authority to sack him while the take-over is pending.
This is an extremely tough decision to have to make as the results haven’t been anywhere near good enough this season despite the performances not being too bad.
Dyche’s arrival had been timely to rescue the club from what looked to be certain relegation last season and is expected to back himself to repeat that feat again during this campaign. However, this time that may not be sufficient enough an achievement for the club as there are pressing obligations for the manager to quickly show improvements on the pitch, failing which he could feel the noose tightening around his neck.
It appears most likely that he will have at least a few more games to go for a turn-around after his accomplishment in the second half of last season.
