Arteta must bounce back against Bees

The Premier League leaders Arsenal make a return to the Emirates tomorrow in a bid to bounce back from last weekend’s dismal defeat.

The curse of the new manager bounce inflicted a blow to Mikel Arteta and his valiant team when they suffered a 1-0 loss in Sean Dyche’s first outing in the Goodison Park dugout as Everton boss replacing Frank Lampard.

The Englishman was spot on with his tactics to deliver the Gunners their first league loss since September – which also happened to be only their second defeat of the 2022/2023 campaign.

Arteta and his men now face an in-form Brentford side that are proving decisively to be this season’s big guns as Thomas Frank and his underdogs are sitting comfortably in seventh place, way above the likes of the past season’s high flyers Chelsea and Liverpool, and blowing hot and furious on the trail of hopefully playing in the Champions League next season.

Arsenal will be going all-out to grab their three points from tomorrow’s outing, especially as they face second-placed Manchester City on Wednesday, February 15 in a clash that could be pivotal to their title hopes.
