Bellingham slamdunks United with four-word admission

Reports had arisen last week suggesting Manchester United were still optimistically clinging to the hope that they were in the fight to sign Borussia Dortmund wunderkind Jude Bellingham in the summer.

This optimism is despite Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid being at the front of the queue, yet United gaffer Erik ten Hag is said to be optimistic about convincing Bellingham to become the centerpiece of his project. Hopefully for the Dutchman and his new club his optimism is more realistically grounded than what he had been so cocksure about in his earlier optimism for signing his former Ajax charge Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona.

However, footage has made the rounds on social media showing the 19-year-old midfielder making a damning four-word declaration throwing some light on United’s hopes of signing him.

Apparently in the early days of his Borussia Dortmund career only a while ago, a fan had asked Bellingham whether he was joining the Red Devils.

The England international promptly responded without even batting an eyelid: “No. Don’t be silly.”
