The top 22 players on FIFA 22 have been officially revealed.
In pole position is none other than Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi, the highest-rated player on the game once again at 93.
Robert Lewandowski, the Bayern Munich goal machine, is the man who takes the silver medal for ratings on this year’s edition of FIFA, the Pole boasting a value of 92 – one higher than Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo who is surprisingly in third place.
Kevin De Bruyne’s rating of 91 makes him the highest-rated Premier League footballer on the game, with both Harry Kane and N’Golo Kante coming in at 90.
The top 22 players on FIFA 22
The Liverpool quartet of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk have unfortunately seen their values reduced by one for FIFA 22, which was not totally unexpected after the Reds’ sub-par campaign last season. Understandably Kopites won’t be ecstatic especially given that Salah – and to some extent even Alisson – held their form pretty well for most of last season.
The fact Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung-min Son has the same rating as Salah will no doubt spark a lot of debate.
Gianluigi Donnarumma is perhaps the most surprising name to feature in the top 22, although the young Italian goalkeeper did have an exceptional Euro 2020 campaign in the summer. He was even named UEFA Player of the Tournament and it was also his heroics in the penalty shootout that helped Italy defeat England in the final at Wembley.
