Companies scrambling to work with Barcelona since Laporta’s ascension

It’s undeniably a most tumultuous La Liga season with 11 games left to go, and Barcelona, incredulously, are still in contention with a clear shot at the title.

While at one earlier stage, the scenario had been pretty bleak for the Catalans with rivals Atletico Madrid 12 points ahead and looking seemingly untouchable, that gap has now been whittled down to only four points following an incredible change in fortunes for both sides.

It now looks possible, even likely, that if the status quo were to remain the same until then, a Camp Nou fixture towards the end of the season could be a potential title decider.

The Blaugrana have even confidently secured a place in the Copa del Rey final against all odds too, and now the second half of the current season has been nothing short of miraculous for Barcelona.

To heap on the avalanche of good news, Joan Laporta’s landslide win has not only the endorsement of the voting Cules but commercial endorsements from corporate entities, with Marca now reporting that at least four clubs are willing to offer in excess of €200m in sponsorship money on the back of Laporta’s win.

This augurs well for the future of the club’s La Masia academy, Innovation Hub, Licensing and Merchandising and Barcelona Studios.

All they need now is just to get Leo Messi to sign a new contract.
