Ronald Koeman could be the new Barcelona manager

Barcelona will decide in the upcoming board meeting on whether to continue with Quique Setien or appoint a new manager.

Various reports suggested that the Catalan giants will appoint former player Ronald Koeman as the new manager for the next season.

This comes after Barcelona was mercilessly beaten 8-2 against Bavarian giants Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

According to Diario AS, Koeman is Barcelona’s first choice, ahead of former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

One of the Koeman’s first task would be a mass clear out for the entire first-team, but Lionel Messi would remain with the club.

Arthur already fly to Juventus, but Barcelona will welcomed new addition, Miralem Pjanic.

However, Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal, Ousmane Dembele, Junior Firpo and Samuel Umtiti could all be sold to raise over €100m in transfer funds.

Koeman represented Barcelona as player from 1989-1995, before serving as assistant manager from 1998-2000.
