Jurgen Klopp admitted Jadon Sancho would look good in Liverpool kit

Jadon Sancho is reportedly snubbing Old Trafford’s advances and is keen on signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window as he believes the Reds have a great chance of continuing their silverware-winning next season.

Jurgen Klopp has responded by admitting Jadon Sancho would look good in a Liverpool shirt.  His comments came just a month before German publication Kicker reported that the Dortmund forward wants a move to Anfield.

Sancho has been repeatedly linked with a transfer to Manchester United, with the Red Devils preparing to pay as much as £100million for the 20-year-old but the former Manchester City alumni is pparently favoring a move to Liverpool after the Reds finally secured the Premier League title. Sancho knows that realistically he could taste top-flight glory in his first season back at England by moving to Liverpool instead of throwing in his lot with United who are only just beginning to find their rhythm.

Klopp told German Newspaper Bild:

“The red shirt [of Liverpool] would suit very well. I don’t think such a transfer will be possible this season.

“He [Sancho] is a very interesting player. If he’s coming to Liverpool I would be the most surprised of all of us.”

The biggest stumbling block for Liverpool is obviously Sancho’s heavy price tag as Dortmund, who paid £8m for the forward, want a fee close to £100m for their prized asset and Liverpool coffers are not able to accommodate afford this as the pandemic has hit Liverpool very hard, and they were recently forced to pull out of the race to sign £50m-rated Timo Werner, who joined Chelsea instead.

The Reds are also set to haggle with Bayern Munich on a price for Thiago Alcantara.

Liverpool are keen on the midfielder and want to pay around £20m for him. Bayern Munich, however, are holding out for closer to £30m.
