Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has been taken to the hospital diagnosed with kidney stones.
The 45-year-old posted an image of himself on his Instagram account, seemingly admitted to UCLA Emergency Department in Los Angeles, United States.
‘I still can’t believe something 3mm small can hurt that much,” he wrote.
He was admitted in a time of COVID-19 crisis, but he assured fans that it is just for precaution.
Del Piero retired in 2014 after more than 20 years of illustrious career and he relocate in Los Angeles, United States and established an amateur football club, LA10FC through Edge Americas company.
Del Piero also owns a restaurant in the LA, which was affected by the pandemic.
“I have a restaurant and I had to close it. The gyms and non-essential offices have also closed.
“Life has changed. The schools will also be closed throughout April.”
However, he opens his restaurant to deliver food to the frontliners.
“We are happy we have done something for people who need it the most.
“This is a big thing, a big, unpredictable thing. The priority should be the health of the people, not only players.
“We’re facing something completely unknown. It’s not easy to manage the situation. To go to football training, go back to your family and hope you’re OK.”
