Brendan Gan cari angin baru

Pemain tengah kebangsaan, Brendan Gan sah akan meninggalkan pasukan Perak pada musim depan selepas mengumumkannya menerusi ciapan di laman sosial Twitter dan satu hantaran di laman sosial Instagram.

Pemain berusia 31 tahun itu menyertai Perak pada musim lepas dan membantu skuad The Bos Gaurus untuk merangkul Piala Malaysia 2018. Brendan Gan turut membantu Perak ke perlawanan akhir Piala FA musim ini tetapi tewas kepada Kedah pada perlawanan tersebut.

As 2019 has now come to a close it’s time to rest up with family and friends 🙌🏽 . It is also the time where I can now announce that I will sadly be leaving Perak after 2 amazing years in Ipoh as management and I couldn’t come to an agreement 😔 . I have always given my all for Perak every time I have stepped onto the field.. but sometimes in football it is not enough.. I have cherished every moment of the 2 years spent in Ipoh and have so many great memories that will last with me for a lifetime 👏🏽🏆 . To the family I have gained and to the brothers I went to war with every week.. you are all amazing players and make everyone feel like a true family, I can’t thank each and every one of you enough as we have achieved so much together, in creating history for the state. You will always be apart of my football family, I wish you all the best in your future footballing career and beyond 💛🖤 . To the most important part of any club, The Supporters, you have been the reason I wanted to run through a brick wall each and every week, the passion you show, the support you show and the love you showed not just myself but to the team was inspiring, I will miss you all and will always remember the positive impact you made on my life, I hope I repaid that with giving my 100% for the badge every game 🙌🏽💛🖤👏🏽 . Prestasi cemerlang yang dipamerkan pemain kelahiran Australia ini telah membuka mata Ketua Jurulatih pasukan kebangsaan, Tan Cheng Hoe yang mendapatkan khidmatnya bagi menghadapi saingan Kelayakan Piala Dunia 2022/Piala Asia 2023. Sepanjang lima perlawanan bersama skuad negara, Brendan Gan telah memainkan watak penting di bahagian tengah untuk membantu Malaysia memungut sembilan mata dan kini menghuni tangga kedua kumpulan G, dua mata dibelakang Vietnam.

Terdahulu, beberapa pasukan telah dikaitkan untuk mendapatkan khidmat pemain tengah ini seperti Kedah, Selangor, dan Pahang. Namun, masih belum ada pengumuman rasmi daripada mana-mana pasukan. Malah, Kedah turut mengakui ada cubaan untuk menandatangani pemain itu tetapi terpaksa melupakan hasrat tersebut berikutan bajet yang terhad.

Sementara itu, Perak juga akan kehilangan dua pemain tempatan iaitu Mohamad Nasir Basharudin dan Mohd Nor Hakim Hassan serta pemain import dari Brazil, Ronaldo Henrique Silva yang telah secara rasmi meninggalkan pasukan untuk menyertai pasukan baru.
