Luis Suarez has ‘worked like a savage’ to recover from injury

Barcelona’s young assistant coach of raving ‘n ranting with foul-mouthed expletives on TV infamy, Eder Sarabia, has enthused with his customary exuberance that Luis Suarez has worked “like a savage” to recover from knee surgery and will be like a “very good signing” for the club when football is resumed.

Suarez has been unceremoniously sidelined since suffering a prolonged knee injury in January that required surgery and which looked to have ended his season prematurely. Fortunately, it looks as though the striker could still have a dominant role to play alongside his compadre Messi if the 2019-20 season is indeed given the green light to resume, as it most optimistically would soon.

Sarabia spoke about Suarez in a video call with Quique Setien and the club’s media on Tuesday.

“We have a lot of hope that Suarez will be a very good signing,” he said. “Until now there’s been a winter and summer window, and now there’s a confinement window too.”

“We’ve seen him work like a savage each day, working and trying to get back as soon as possible. I saw all the goals he scored at Barca and I’m drooling.”

Well, if the young fiery coach with ants in his pants is blowing hot about Suarez, then this should indeed come as heartwarming news for all Barca fans who’ve long been waiting for him to be reunited with magical Messi. Now all they need is a certain wildfire Brazilian called Neymar to reignite the sizzling creative flames of the Barca triumvirate to set ablaze again the Blaugrana.

Barcelona players are all set to undergo medical tests on Wednesday ahead of a potential return to training later in the week. La Liga president Javier Tebas has said he’s hopeful the competition can resume in June.
