Beleaguered Manchester United gaffer Erik ten Hag will face Brentford for the fifth time in this Saturday’s Premier League clash.
The former Ajax boss managed to survive from being sacked as the Manchester United boss after back-to-back draws with Porto and Aston Villa.
Ten Hag will remain under huge pressure to turn things around at Old Trafford after the poor start to the season, starting with the next Premier League match against Brentford when the Red Devils return to action at Old Trafford on 19th October.
Thomas Frank has been salaciously linked to the United job following his success with the Bees, and the London outfit currently sit 11th – three places ahead of United – in the Premier League table.
All eyes will no doubt be trained on Ten Hag this weekend as surely another poor result against Brentford will only serve to refuel the sack rumours surrounding him.
Ten Hag will likely be hoping for a quick start, although no one is better at that in the Premier League than Brentford as the Bees made history this season after they became the first team to score in the opening minute in three consecutive Premier League games.
As for United, even a cursory glance at the Dutchman’s previous four matches against Brentford paints an ominous picture of what to expect from United on Saturday afternoon.
