Paris Saint-Germain flop and wantaway striker Mauro Icardi is already well aware he has no future with Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentine striker is already training away from the squad with the castaway group that the capital club is waiting to offload before the summer transfer window closes on Sept. 1.
The French juggernauts have already made their disinterest in Icardi clear by bringing in Hugo Ekitike and are reportedly looking for one more forward, leading to reports linking them to Marcus Rashford and Bernardo Silva have surfaced. As a result, this past week Icardi’s name has suddenly been circling in conjunction with Manchester United.
On Sunday, The Mirror reported that Icardi apparently welcomes the possibility of a move to Old Trafford as the 29-year-old is eager to rediscover the past form he had shown while with Inter Milan. The only apparent glitch in this plan is that the Manchester club does face some competition as Icardi’s agent and wife Wanda Nara is also said to have met three times with Turkish giants Galatasaray to have him move across.
Argentine outlet TyC Sports added that both moves either to the Premier League or to the Süper Lig will be on a loan deal and it will be interesting to see if either club makes a serious bid to secure Icardi.
