Diego Simeone, one of world football’s greatest managers and allegedly the richest among them, clearly enjoys a winning lifestyle off the pitch with Carla Pereyra, his stunning wife who is 17 years younger than the Atletico Madrid boss.
Simeone’s Atletico Madrid has swept up an impressive slew of titles under his watch, having led Atleti to two La Liga triumphs, a Copa del Rey, and even two Europa League wins. However, the only trophy glaringly missing in the Atleti trophies showcase is the Champions League, despite him having come agonisingly close on two occasions.
All the same, Champions League or not, Simeone has still managed to hoard a tidy sum of cash in the Spanish capital besides keeping his body physically well-primed. And, to top all that off, he even has a stunning model wife, Carla Pereyra, to be proud of, one who is almost two decades younger than the Atleti manager.
The pair had met in a restaurant in 2014 shortly after he had split from his first wife Carolina Baldini. Despite the Atleti boss trying to keep a lid on his private life, reports emerging from Spain in 2019 alleged that he had proposed to Pereyra with an engagement ring worth £4,500. The pair tied the knot in a secret ceremony before a more lavish ceremony took place in Tuscany later that year. Both shared snaps of the Italian landscape on their Instagram accounts to celebrate the occasion.
Simeone is allegedly the richest manager on the planet, and he reportedly takes home an annual paycheck of around $40million (£30million). And the 51-year-old’s net worth is believed to be around $130million (£97million).
While his salary is the main source of his income, Simone also has a partnership with Range Rover and savvy property investments.
That sum allegedly places Simeone’s net worth above the likes of even Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.
