After winning the Premier League title, Liverpool lost two players who joined a new club for the next season.
Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren are two important signings for Liverpool and helped Jurgen Klopp to kickstart his revolution at Anfield.
Both of them came from Southampton, and played fore more than 100 matches for Liverpool, winning the UEFA Champions League, Club World Cup and ended their journey by winning the long-awaited Premier League title.
But after six years, it’s time for both of them to move on.
Lallana joined Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion on a three-year contract while Lovren joined Russian Premier League champions, Zenit.
“It’s a breath of fresh air coming here. It’s a challenge I am looking forward to,” Lallana told according to Brighton’s website.
“The whole infrastructure and ambition around the club excites me. There is so much young talent and so much ability. It was a pretty easy choice for me in the end.
“I look at how ambitious the chairman is to start with and how highly the manager is regarded since he has come into the club. I looked at all those aspects… and it was a perfect fit really.”
Lovren also signed for three-year contract with Zenit, and Klopp believes he will be perfect fit for the Russian side.
“In the first part of the season until he got injured he was in the team and had super games. Absolutely super games,” Klopp said.
“Really good, in the air a machine, and I really liked working together with him. It will be interesting to follow Zenit St. Petersburg now.”
