As the world severely affected by COVID-19, all leagues around the globe is suspended but fans have been starving for football. There’s actually one football league you can watch: A-League.
You might wondering why Australia continue to play football. Don’t they have coronavirus cases?
Well, they do have, in fact there’s more than 1,000 cases and 7 deaths so far.
But A-League authorities think they can still resume the league, they just need to play in an empty stadium. Problem solved.
Yesterday, Sydney derby between Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers draw a major crowd from all over the world.
Sydney striker, Adam Le Fondre hilariously celebrate his goal in a 1-1 draw by pretending to applaud fans in attendance despite no one being there.
Without supporters making noise in the stands, conversations between players and managers on the pitch can be heard clearly.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw as Kwame Yeboah equalised in the 82nd minute.
While its not exactly a league of superstars, but it’s still football anyway. Anything that involved goals, we accept wholeheartedly. Go and watch it!
