Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) reportedly signed contract with Laotian goalkeeper Outthilath Nammakhoth following the goalkeeper crisis in the first stage of V-League.
According to newly-updated information on football transfer site Transfermarkt, Outthilath was named in the squad of HAGL in this year’s V-League.
This move follows the goalkeeper crisis of the Vietnamese side as their top choices Van Tien and Van Truong often made costly mistakes. HAGL is at the 6th position of the standings but conceded 19 goals, the third highest team at 2018 V-League.
However, the signing of Outthilath has been considered risky for HAGL since the club have to cut off a foreign player slot for the 21-year-old goalkeeper, while his capability is still in doubt.
Outthilath is playing for Savannakhet at Lao Premier League. His most recent match for the national team was the friendly against Bangladesh in March 2018.
