Hanoi FC still dominate V-League following 2-0 away win over Nam Dinh

Hanoi FC continue their finest form which propelled them to the top of the V-League table following the 2-0 away win over Nam Dinh on Sunday afternoon.

Hanoi FC had to play at Thien Truong stadium without the serves of coach Chu Dinh Nghiem and captain Pham Thanh Luong, who were hit with a fine for inappropriate behavior during the 2-2 draw to Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) at the first leg of Vietnam National Cup quarter-final last Friday.

However, the visitors dominated the game from the very first minute. It took only 20 minutes for them to break the deadlock when Duy Manh made a strike from close range.

Ganiyu Oseni fired two warning shots, but Hanoi FC had to wait until the second half to level things up. In the 57th minute, the Nigerian striker doubled the score for his side from the perfect header of Ninh Van Dai.

Nam Dinh pressed on for consolidation goal in the remaining time but failed to prevent Hanoi FC from completing a 2-0 win and celebrating their top place at V-League standings after the eighth round.

With Than Quang Ninh suffered a 3-1 defeat against Thanh Hoa at home on the same day, Hanoi widen the gap with the second-placed team to 6 points.
