Paris Saint-Germain have again signified their interest in signing long-time Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos on a free transfer agreement, but apparently the Bundesliga club’s officials have now set some conditions for this possible deal that’s currently undergoing negotiations from both parties.
L’Equippe report that PSG is leaning more towards signing Ramos to a one-year free transfer deal with an option to renew for another season.
Ramos instead wants a full guaranteed two-year deal with no options, not unlike the two-year extension deal he had hoped to sign with Real Madrid but the Los Blancos big guns never budged on his offer.
PSG now find themselves essentially in the same position that Real Madrid was in only not too long ago, as the French powerhouse can either remain inflexible with its initial offer or opt to give in to Ramos’ demands for a full two-year free transfer deal.
The summer transfer window opens officially tomorrow, so it remains to be seen whether both parties can come to an amicable agreement, or whether other clubs will look to jump ahead of PSG in the race to sign the obviously battle-proven, tough-as-nails veteran defender known for his defensive prowess and tactics like a bat out of hell.
