Inter owners, Suning, looking for China sponsors to help club afford Lionel Messi signing

Although chances are looking positive Lionel Messi will likely go to Manchester City but it is by no means obvious according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter are waiting for the appropriate moment to make a move with Inter president Steven Zhang figuring out how much it will cost to prise him away from Barcelona.

In the current Messi sweepstakes, Manchester City are described as being in pole position whilst Inter are keenly studying the situation.

The signing of Arturo Vidal, whilst also maintaining a hold of Lautaro Martinez, could help Inter in their pursuit of Messi. Hopefully too the noticeable fact that Messi’s father has also recently bought property just the proverbial stone’s throw away from Inter’s headquarters, combined with the more accommodating Italian tax laws could be very much beneficial to Messi if he were to register interest in joining Inter.

The report concludes that Suning are scouring the Chinese market for sponsors who can assist the club in affording Messi, something which could well help Inter overtake Manchester City and beat them to Messi.
