Luis Suarez points finger at coaches for Barcelona draw but fans point to another culprit

Luis Suarez has turned his nose down at the coaches and believes they were to blame for Barcelona’s draw against Celta Vigo. However, some fans believe the fault is attributable to the actions of another culprit.

Real Madrid again look like the favorites to win the 2019-20 LaLiga title after Barcelona dropped precious points away in a 2-2 draw against a voracious Celta Vigo side on Saturday. Barca striker Suarez spoke to the media post-match to defend the team and deflected the blame to the coaching staff, hinting at Quique Setien, the head coach.

Suarez was spectacular in scoring both goals for the Catalans through brilliant assists from Messi, but a well-placed free kick from Iago Aspas equaled his impressive brace. Difficult to tfathom as it may be, Barcelona has had a poor away record this season, but according to the Uruguayan, it is the coaches’ job to fix what’s wrong as the players are already giving it all they have got.

“What’s wrong with us? That’s what coaches are for, to analyse the situations. We gave everything on the field of play  and you are left with the feeling that we are dropping lots of points away from home which we did not drop other seasons,” Suarez told Movistar LaLiga via Besoccer.com.

“The feeling is negative, we have dropped two more than important points. If we want to keep up there in the fight for the title, we had to win all the games and hope Real Madrid dropped points once. You’re left with a feeling of frustration,” he continued.

Obviously disappointed and disgruntled with how things have been going on in the dressing room, Suarez called for the team to regroup and try to figure out how to win the remaining crucial matches of the season.

“We have difficult games left. We knew this would be one of our most difficult away games together with the Villarreal one and we’ve got Atletico Madrid at home. We dropped two points and you have to correct things to try and improve,” Suarez pointed out.

Fans are opting to believe that Barcelona could have ended the match with a 2-1 victory. It was the second goal from Aspas that crucially changed the final outcome, and based on the fans’ point of view, it was Antoine Griezmann who was the perpetrator in letting that happen.

“Griezmann ups his stakes for Real Madrid player of the year,” one fan said.

It can be recalled that as Aspas struck the ball with his left foot, Griezmann wa een jumping and turning his back, a move that reulted in the ball subsequently finding a way into the bottom corner of the net.

Many believed that had Griezmann decided not to turn his back, Barcelona could have sealed the win with a one goal advantage.

Politics and finger-pointing in the locker room or injustice seen from the fans’ point of view? Your guess is as good as mine.
