Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler delivers brilliant Jurgen Klopp message after title win

Liverpool hero Robbie Fowler has to Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool icon Robbie Fowler paid a glowing tribute to Jurgen Klopp and joked that he has given up his nickname ‘God’ for Reds boss Jurgen Klopp after the Merseyside club secured the Premier League title on Thursday night.

Fowler’s nickname stems from his playing days at Anfield, having produced some of his best football there, scoring 128 goals in 266 games across two highly memorable spells at the club.

Not far away, a slightly forlorn Pep Guardiola ruefully lamented Man City’s lack of passion even as he graciously hailed and congratulated Liverpool’s well-deserved victory in claiming the league title like the true gentleman and sportsman he is.

Liverpool wrapped up the Premier League title on Thursday night after Manchester City lost to Chelsea 2-1 in a valiant battle that saw both sides fighting tooth and nail till the final whistle.

Christian Pulisic and Willian scored to counter Kevin de Bruyne’s screamer to give the Blues the three points and end City’s faint and flickering hopes of retaining the title they edged Liverpool out winning of last year.

City now stand 23 points behind Liverpool with 21 points still up for grabs.

The dampening blues of the coronavirus pandemic aside, this season’s Premier League caps off an absolutely incredible year for the Reds, after Klopp’s side won the accolades for the Champions League and Club World Cup last year.

And Livepool legend Fowler was brimming with praise for the way the German boss has turned things around at Anfield after taking over from Brendan Rodgers in 2015, having taken Liverpool to three European finals in four years, as well as a second-place finish last season in the league.

Klopp’s charges broke the record of winning the league by a landslide at the earliest opportunity, with seven games still remaining.
